Who can post
Clients — share your completed home project (photos you took or have permission to use).
Businesses — share your own completed work. One thread per notable project is fine; don’t flood the section with duplicate ads. Always get client permission before posting identifiable interiors, equipment in context, or completion photos from a job.
Business profiles on the trade platform also display completion history where supported — this forum is for community storytelling and inspiration, not a replacement for your marketplace portfolio.
Before you post
- Search the section — similar installs may already be documented.
- Photos matter — attach clear images; label before vs after.
- One main project per thread — easier to browse and search later.
- Permission first — clients and businesses must have rights/consent for photos.
- Privacy — no street addresses, mailboxes, house numbers, license plates, or family faces without consent.
- No active disputes — resolve job issues on the platform before showcasing as a “success story.”

- Same spot, same angle for before and after when you can.
- Equipment labels — model plates help others research (blur serial numbers if you prefer).
- Context shots — attic duct runs, condenser pad, mechanical room layout, thermostat location.
- Lighting — well-lit beats flashy filters; we need to see the work.
- Crop thoughtfully — remove mirrors reflecting personal spaces, IDs on desks, etc.
HVAC examples

- One primary trade per thread keeps the gallery browsable.
- Celebrate quality — craftsmanship, cleanliness, code-aware installs.
- No mockery of another person’s home or another company’s work in side-by-side attack posts.
- Light business mention OK — “our crew completed this” or “we hired through TradeLink” — not price lists, coupon codes, or “call us” spam in every reply.
- Clients welcome — thank your pro in the post or leave a platform review; businesses appreciate it.
- Leave platform review when the job was on TradeLink — show & tell plus review strengthens the whole network.
- Incomplete jobs, mock-ups, or “coming soon” teasers without finished photos.
- Stock photos or renders passed off as your project.
- Photos without consent from the property owner or client.
- Full street addresses or identifiable exterior shots that expose location.
- Pricing spreadsheets, contracts, or payment details.
- Mid-job problem threads — use platform tools and Reviews & Experiences if you need to discuss outcomes.
- Pure ads with no real project story or images.
