Real stories. Honest feedback. A community that learns from outcomes.
This section is for sharing what happened after you hired — good outcomes, rough edges, lessons learned, and how reviews and platform history helped (or could have helped) your decision. It’s peer perspective for the next homeowner, not a replacement for TradeLink’s official review system.

What this forum section is for
- Post-job experiences — how the work went, communication, timeline, cleanup, follow-up.
- Lessons learned — what you’d do differently next time (scope, budget, season, vetting).
- How to read reviews — patterns, context, satisfied vs not satisfied on the platform.
- Writing helpful feedback — what makes a review useful to others (forum or platform).
- Trade-specific stories — HVAC installs, emergency repairs, maintenance plans (general region, no addresses).
- Celebrating great work — shout out the experience, not a hard-sell ad for a business.
TradeLink ties reputation to real marketplace activity where the platform supports it. The forum adds community color — nuance, trade tips, and “here’s what that experience taught me.”

Before you post
- Search this section — similar experiences may already exist.
- Be honest and fair — facts, timeline, scope; avoid exaggeration.
- Protect privacy — no full street addresses, gate codes, or personal phone numbers.
- Think about the reader — what would help someone hiring next month?
- Active disputes — use platform messaging, job records, and support; don’t litigate in public threads.

Reviews on the trade platform help everyone. Strong ones usually include:
- Scope — what was actually done (equipment, rooms, urgency).
- Communication — responsiveness, clarity, showed up when promised.
- Work quality — comfort, noise, appearance, testing, cleanup.
- Timeline — realistic vs rushed; delays and how they were handled.
- Price context — “aligned with quote” vs surprise extras (without posting full invoices publicly).
- Would hire again? — and why, in plain language.
Reading reviews like a pro
When you’re researching on TradeLink before you hire:
- Look for patterns across multiple reviews, not one outlier.
- Note job type — install vs service call — matches what you need?
- Watch for recurring themes — communication, punctuality, warranty follow-up.
- Consider timeline — a business may have improved (or slipped) over years.
- Use platform satisfied / not satisfied signals where shown — they reflect documented outcomes.
- Pair reviews with messages and quotes — your project may differ from someone else’s.
Not every job is perfect. This section can host honest cautionary tales when you follow these lines:
- Focus on what happened and what you learned, not revenge posting.
- Avoid naming businesses in drive-by attack threads — use platform review and support channels for accountability.
- Don’t post photos of people, license plates, or identifiable home exteriors without consent.
- If work is unsafe (gas, electrical, CO) — address safety first; document for insurance and regulators as appropriate.
- Offer resolution status — “still open” vs “business came back and fixed it” helps readers.
What not to post here
- Fake reviews or reviews for businesses you didn’t hire through real work.
- Review bombing, competitor sabotage, or coordinated negativity.
- Full invoices, contracts with signatures, or payment card details.
- “DM me for the good/bad list” — use public learning or platform profiles.
- Unmoderated ads disguised as testimonials.
- Legal threats, doxxing, or content that violates forum rules.
