How TradeLink Hub Works

This guide explains the full TradeLink Hub ecosystem — what it is, who it’s for, how sign-up works, how clients and businesses use the marketplace, how trade platforms connect, and how this forum fits in.

1. What is TradeLink Hub?

TradeLink Hub is the central front door for TitanJobFinder / TradeLink:

• One account at titanjobfinder.com for identity, security, and verification.
• A gateway to dedicated trade platforms (HVAC today; more trades coming).
• A community forum at /Forum/ for questions, know-how, and peer support.

Think of it in three layers:
You do not need separate forum passwords. The forum uses the same Hub account (see Section 8).

2. Who is TradeLink Hub for?

There are two primary roles — chosen at registration:

Clients (homeowners, property owners, renters, small landlords)

• Need trade work done (HVAC, and future trades).
• Browse local businesses, read reviews, message pros, or post jobs with photos.
• Track work through completion and leave honest feedback.

Businesses (trade companies, licensed pros, sole operators)

• Want visibility with local clients without paying for every click.
• Respond to messages and posted jobs, build reputation through completed work and reviews.
• Use platform tools (including business-only features such as bidding coins on trade platforms where enabled).

Your role is set when you create your Hub account. It drives permissions on trade platforms and your forum group (CLIENT or BUSINESS).

3. The big idea: one login everywhere

You sign in once at the Hub. After that:

• Opening a live trade platform (e.g. HVAC) can log you in automatically via secure SSO.
• Opening the forum while signed into the Hub can log you into the forum automatically.
• You manage password, email verification, and phone verification at the Hub — not inside individual trade sites’ legacy login screens.

Important: Native “register” and “login” on the forum are disabled on purpose. Always use TradeLink Hub Sign In.

4. Creating your account (step by step)

4.1 Start at the Hub auth portal

Choose Client or Business, then either:

• Email + password registration, or
• Continue with Google (then complete any missing profile fields).

4.2 Profile basics
You’ll provide information such as:

• Full name
• Email
• Phone (US)
• City, state, ZIP
• For businesses: company name and business profile details

4.3 Verification (required)
TradeLink Hub verifies email and phone to reduce spam and protect the community. After you register:

1. Check your email for a verification code.
2. Enter the SMS code sent to your phone (when SMS is enabled on the platform).
3. Once both are verified, your account is fully active for marketplace and forum access.

4.4 First login
After verification, log in at the Hub. From there you can jump to a trade platform or the forum.

Tip: If you clicked a link that said “next=forum”, you’ll return to the forum after signing in.

The main Hub site is your control center and marketing home:

• Home — overview of the ecosystem and live trade platforms.
• For Clients / For Businesses — what each role gets from the network.
• Sign In / Get Started — always points to /auth/.
• Forum link — community discussion at /Forum/.

When you’re signed in on the Hub home page, trade tiles can bridge you into a platform without typing credentials again.

6. Trade platforms (where work actually happens)

Each trade has its own dedicated platform. Today:

• HVAC — hvac.titanjobfinder.com (live)
• Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry — shown on the Hub; launching in phases

What you do on a trade platform

As a client:

1. Browse businesses — search by area, view profiles, ratings, and reviews.
2. Message directly — ask questions before you hire (no middleman inbox).
3. Post a job — describe the work and upload photos so pros understand the scope.
4. Review outcomes — when work is done, mark satisfied or not satisfied and leave a review where the platform supports it.

As a business:

1. Get discovered — clients find you through search and profiles.
2. Respond to messages — direct conversations with potential customers.
3. Respond to posted jobs — see job details and photos; place bids where bidding is enabled.
4. Complete jobs with proof — upload completion photos for client visibility.
5. Build reputation — reviews and transparency metrics stay on your profile over time.

Job lifecycle (typical path) Business coins (HVAC / marketplace)
On trade platforms that use the coin system, business accounts may use coins for actions such as placing bids on jobs. Clients do not need coins for basic browsing and messaging. Coin packs and balances are managed through the platform; details appear in your business dashboard when logged into the trade site.

7. Reviews, trust, and transparency

TradeLink is built around visible outcomes, not anonymous star ratings alone:

• Reviews tie to real jobs and interactions on the platform where possible.
• Clients can indicate when work was not satisfactory; businesses may have a chance to remedy issues before a job is closed.
• Public business profiles can reflect review history so clients can make informed choices.
• The forum is for education and community — not a replacement for the platform’s job and review system.

Forum etiquette: Don’t use threads to attack a business or client over a private dispute. Use platform tools and support channels for job-specific issues.

8. Community forum (you are here)

The forum at /Forum/ is part of TradeLink Hub:

• Same account as the Hub — one email, one identity.
• Automatic sign-in when you visit the forum while logged into the Hub (secure bridge — no second password).
• Role-based groups — forum members are tagged CLIENT or BUSINESS to match how you registered.
• Guests can read much of the forum; posting requires a Hub account and forum sign-in.

What the forum is for

• Learning how the platform works (this section).
• Trade questions, best practices, and peer advice.
• Introductions and community culture.

What the forum is not for

• Creating a marketplace account (do that at /auth/).
• Resetting your password (Hub auth portal).
• Posting job photos for bids (use the trade platform).
• Unmoderated advertising or lead spam.

Account changes — password, email, phone, verification — are always done at TradeLink Hub, not in legacy phpBB user settings.

9. Security and privacy basics

• Verify your email and phone — helps protect your account and the community.
• Use a strong password — letters, numbers, symbols; don’t reuse banking passwords.
• Don’t share passwords, verification codes, or full payment details in forum posts.
• Report harassment, scams, or impersonation to moderators.
• Hub sessions use secure cookies; log out on shared devices via Hub logout.

Q: I registered on the forum but can’t log in.
A: Registration on the forum itself is disabled. Create your account at /auth/, verify email and phone, then open the forum again while signed into the Hub.

Q: I’m a client but my forum profile shows the wrong role.
A: Your forum role mirrors your Hub registration. Contact support if your Hub role is wrong; forum groups sync from the Hub.

Q: Can I have both a client and business account?
A: One Hub account has one primary role (client or business). If your needs change, contact support — don’t create duplicate accounts.

Q: Is the HVAC platform the same as the Hub?
A: No. The Hub is the front door and identity layer. HVAC (and future trades) are where marketplace features — jobs, bids, reviews — live.

Q: Do I pay TradeLink to browse businesses?
A: Clients typically browse and message without a subscription. Businesses may use optional features (e.g. coins for bids) on specific platforms — see the business dashboard on the live trade site.

Q: Where do I get help with a specific job?
A: Use the trade platform’s messaging and job tools first. The forum is great for general questions, not for replacing job records.
